About

Jason Zerafa is a multi-instrumentalist and producer originating from Montreal Canada currently working in Phoenix, Arizona. Jason's approach to recording is distinctive, as he views the studio as an instrument in its own right. His journey into music production began during his teenage years, driven by a passion for sound that led him to learn how to record demos of his own compositions. Following this passion, he studied music production at the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Phoenix. Shortly thereafter, he interned with Mark Mothersbaugh at his studio, Mutato Muzika, in Los Angeles, and gained valuable experience working at Glenwood Place, where he learned the operations of a large-scale studio first hand.

Utilizing the skills he’s acquired over the years, Jason established his first home studio in Mesa, Arizona, where he had the pleasure of working with artists including Hudson Everett, Nicosa, Durango, and Hotel Pink. Building upon his experiences in this initial studio, he has since built his second studio in his home in uptown Phoenix. Jason's recordings are rich in character, and his techniques pay tribute to his inspirations, including The Beatles, Neil Young, and Fleetwood Mac, among others. He is a knowledgeable and collaborative producer, and if you choose Jason for your project, he will ensure that your music is represented in the best possible way.
